The Dentist

The Dentist, 1996

Few things in life are as painful as a trip to the dentist. These trips will become a little more unpleasant after you meet Beverly Hills dentist, Dr. Alan Feinstone.

He’s rich, successful and extremely orderly. Everything in his life must be as perfect as a gleaming set of white teeth.

His perfect young bride makes sure his shirts are perfectly lined up in his bedroom closet, by colour – all white.

But today, his wedding anniversary, he pulls out a shirt with a stain and his whole day is ruined. His accountant tells him he has a big tax problem. He then sees his wife out by the pool in a compromising position with the handsome young maintenance man. His perfect world is falling apart.

That’s all it takes for Dr. Feinstone’s brilliant and creative mind to snap. Today is not the day to keep an appointment.

A drilling story that will make your teeth chatter.

Your pain is his pleasure.

I was looking forward to this movie, coz it looked pretty cool, and the idea of a crazy dentist just promises so much. BUT, shoddy effects and lack of violence (even though it says “High level violence” on the cover) lets it down big time. 63%.
